Being the leader of the Saints group, it is up to you to lead your gang from being new comers into the rulers of town. You get to meet different characters throughout the game, making the game have great twists and turns. Your game begins with character creation where you can make a combination of human with different voice concepts. The choice is yours, and you can change how your character looks every now and then. Unlike the prequels, you do not have to complete specific game activities to proceed in the game; you proceed through the story at a great pace in Saints Row: The Third and your game begin as soon as you hit the play button giving you access to the various vehicles and weapons.
There are plenty of challenges and you get rewarded for each challenge you complete. There are plenty of upgrades that you can use as well for your weapons as well as your character and health. Your activities can range from investments frauds, mayhem and many other which puts you in the line of pursuit. Different activities require different goals you need to achieve in the limited amount of time. The main story though is not in line with the game.
Your choice of weapons is endless, where you begin with a pistol but can move on to own machine guns and shot guns. You can make use of game money to buy more ammunition or upgrade the weapon you are using. The choice of vehicles is also endless, and sometimes when you have to steal a vehicle it can be outright fun. You also can have a chance to manoeuvre an aircraft if you get lucky.
Overall the game is an interesting game with intense action and vivid picture and supporting sound system that can make you want to play the game for hours together. Every scene is greatly put together and the challenges of the game make it even more interesting. Unlike its prequels, you would level up quickly and the upgrades to your vehicle and weapons make the game much more fun.
